Parents on Campus (POC)
Do you want to get the feel for the climate at AOMS, and see the kids
in action? Volunteer as a Parent
on Campus at lunchtime. The hours are 11:00AM to 1:15PM (or
anytime within that framework that you're available). As a POC you are another
set of eyes and ears on campus, helping to supervise the students at
lunchtime. You can volunteer once a week, every other week, once a
month, or one time. Just contact Tamara Ogg to get your name on the
schedule by emailing her at tamarao@pacbell.net,
or calling her at 760-918-9795. Thanks for volunteering!
AOMS PTSA Membership
It's time for you to join
the AOMS PTSA!
Our membership campaign is in full swing. Won't you take a
minute to join the PTSA today? Membership opportunities are available
to both students and parents. For the cost of a $20 membership, you not
only join an association with over 2 million PTA members nationwide, but
you also support one of the strongest child advocacy
organizations operating at the local, state and national levels.
In addition, you receive a complimentary copy of the AOMS 2007-2008 Student
Directory. (Non-member cost is $5). Click here to

AOMS Annual Magazine
Drive
Friday September 14th is the kickoff for the AOMS Annual Magazine
Drive. Magazine turn in dates are scheduled for September 21st and
September 28th. Please check with your student for their Magazine
Packet.
Parent Volunteers needed to help during Magazine turn in from 7:15AM to
10:15AM on 9/21 and 9/28. Please contact Kelly Momeyer to sign up by
calling her at 760-331-6143 or emailing her at kmomeyer@carlsbadusd.net .
After School Sports are
Back:
Cross Country:
There are no tryouts for Cross Country, all students welcome. First
practice will be held on 9/11 at 2:30-3:45PM on the soccer field.
Volleyball:
Tryouts will be held on 9/10 and 9/11 at 2:30 to 4:00PM. Team roster
will be posted on 9/12, and the first practice will be on Thursday, 9/13.
Students interested in participating in after school sports must have the
forms filled out and to the coach at tryouts. Forms are available in
the office.
