AOMS Book Fair
The AOMS Book Fair is happening this week in the school library.  The Book Fair will be open Wednesday and Thursday from  7:15 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Friday from 7:15 AM to 12:00 PM.  For more information  please visit the web page http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/aoms 

Lost and Found
The lost and found box in front of the office is FULL!  Please check for lost items this week, as everything left in it will be donated to charity during the winter break.

Winter Dance Show
Mrs. Borders and her Dance PE classes will be presenting their Winter Dance Show during a school assembly on Friday, December 21st.  Students will be on an assembly bell schedule so school on this Friday will start with 7th period first, and then continue periods 1 through 6.  6th grader's assembly will be from 12:27 - 1:17, and the 7th and 8th grader's assembly will be from 1:20 - 2:10.  All students will be released at regular time, 2:10 PM.  Independent PE students should arrive to school at 8:30 AM, and are encouraged to stay and attend the show.

AOMS  Students Share Their Artwork
Move over famous artists!  AOMS artists are taking over the spotlight!  AOMS has teamed up with Artsonia, the world's largest online kid's art museum, to display our students artwork.  Anyone can view the school gallery online at www.artsonia.com/schools/oaks2 .  Our students join thousands of students from over 100 countries whose artwork is showcased on Artsonia.  This program is a wonderful way to get parents and family members more involved in Art Education.  For more information about Artsonia, visit their website at www.artsonia.com .

Holiday Band Concert
Please join us this Wednesday, December 19th at 6:00 PM in the AOMS Gym for our Holiday Band Concert.   The Performing Band, Concert Band and the Aviara Oaks Wind Ensemble will all be performing festival music for the holidays!  Admission is free!  Hope to see you there.
 
Printers Needed
AOMS is in need of two laser printers.   For further details on what is needed, and  how to donate a printer, please contact Dave Kalk at davekalk@yahoo.com .

Winter Recess
Winter break will begin on December 24th, and go through to January 4th.  School will resume on January 7th.

A teacher "Wish List" has been set up on the AOMS website.  Donate now to help our teachers with their basic classroom necessities.  Click here to view the teachers and their wish lists.  Click on a teacher's name to contact them to ensure the item has not been recently acquired.
