A Message from Dr.
Roach, School Superintendent
California's
fiscal emergency will devastate Carlsbad's schools. Carlsbad Unified
Schools could lose $4.5 million if Proposition 98 is suspended. Gov.
Schwarzenegger's proposed education cuts will drastically affect our
schools. Check for agendas, minutes and tools on the district website www.carlsbadusd.k12.ca.us . CUSD is taking immediate action. Volunteer with one of the
groups below to make a difference.

A Message from the
Councilor
Last
week during a presentation at the PTSA meeting, a question about middle
school courses and grades that appear on the transcript came up during the Q
& A. After researching the issue, it was determined that in
December of 2007, the school board adopted a policy that allows
"MS-Spanish" and "Geometry" to appear on the high school
transcript. The grade will not be calculated in the grade point average
on the high school transcript. If you have questions, please call the
Guidance Office at 331-6168.
8th Grade
Promotion
8th Grade
Promotion is in full planning mode. Would you like to volunteer
to help? If you have a high school student, we can use their help on
the night of June 6th. They will receive community service hours.
Please call or email Jacquee Renna at 760-845-2170 or jmrenna@mas.com .
