North
County's NO CUTS TO EDUCATION Rally
The
CUSD is asking for our support in showing the Governor and State Legislators
that we stand behind our schools and our kids. This Friday, April
18th, all CUSD schools are being asked to meet at assigned overpasses
and wave signs in show of our support. AOMS, along with Pac Rim, AOE
and CHS, have been assigned the I-5 & Poinsettia overpass. Meet at
4:45 PM, and rally from 5 to 6 PM. Signs should have one of the
following phrases; "Enough is Enough", "No Cuts to Education",
or "Education Cuts Don't Heal". This is an adults only activity.
For
further information about the current State Budget Fiscal Emergency, please visit this section of the CUSD website http://www.carlsbadusd.k12.ca.us/emergency.html
. On this site are links to advocacy tips and templates you can use to
let your Legislator know how you feel about this problem.
