CUSD Update
On May 14, 2008 the Governing Board of the Carlsbad Unified School District approved a change in the local high school graduation requirements.  As a result of this action, 9th grade students will no longer be required to complete the semester-long School Success and Health courses in order to receive High School diplomas from CUSD.  The curriculum from these courses will be embedded in other areas. This adjustment will provide students with additional opportunities to complete college preparation courses including science, visual and performing arts, world languages, and career technical education classes.  Additionally, since Health and School Success courses are no longer required for graduation they will no longer be offered during Summer School.
