Back by Popular Demand
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center presents "Bats in Your Belfry". Join us for a fun evening and a fascinating view into the mysterious world of Bats on Wed, October 25th at 7PM at the haunted halls of the Discovery Center. Adults and kids alike will enjoy this presentation, as Dick Wilkins of Bat Rescue dispels the misconceptions about these misunderstood mammals. Learn all about the lifestyle and anatomy of these creatures and hear stories of the bats that are rescued and rehabilitated through Dick's volunteer Bat Rescue group. The rabies virus will also be discussed in detail as well as the truth of just how remote the possibility of contracting the virus truly is. The grand finale includes a viewing of live bats. Trick-or-treating will be offered to the kids prior to the lecture, personally distributed by the AHLF's own costumed Board of Directors. A great event you won't want to miss!!!
