AOMS Orchestra Holiday Concert
On Tuesday, December 5th Aviara Oaks Middle School Orchestras will perform a Holiday Concert at the Carlsbad Community Cultural 
Arts Center at 7:00 p.m. The concert will feature the Beginning and Intermediate Orchestras, and the select Chamber Ensemble. Music performed features classical and holiday selections composed by traditional and contemporary composers!  This musical experience will continue the fine tradition of performance excellence by our students of Aviara Oaks Middle School.  Please Join Us! 

Playground Partners Game Schedule
The YMCA and the AOMS PTSA partner to provide organized games for students during the lunch hour each Tuesday and Thursday. Listed below are the games scheduled for this Thursday, November 30th. If you have any interest in  volunteering to help with these games, please contact Kathy Ummel at tm.ummel@adelphia.net.

Station 1: Flag Football (6th & 7th Grade Only)
Station 2: Kickball
Station 3: Basketball


Art Funds
In a never ending effort to raise money for the art department at AOMS, I am planning to sell 2007 calendars containing artwork done by our students.  If you have any connections with print shops like Kinkos, etc., so that we might possibly get a discount, I would love to hear from you.  And thank you for supporting the Arts! Holiday Shopping Boutique
The 2nd annual Holiday Shopping Boutique is coming this Thursday Nov. 30, 4:00-8:00 pm in the AOMS Multi-purpose Room.  This is not a craft fair - there is something for everyone on your shopping list - designer jeans, handbags, jewelry, linens, gourmet gift baskets etc from over 40 vendors on hand. Don't miss the X-BOX 360 raffle drawing.   Shop and be merry, you don't want to miss this! Please pass this along to all your shopping friends too!

Attention Future Poinsettia Elementary Parents
A Poinsettia Pioneer group email list is being developed to keep parents up to date on forming a PTA, fundraising and other needs for the new school. Please email laryssafreeman@hotmail.com to join this group email list. In addition, there will be a Poinsettia Parents Meet and Greet tonight from 7pm - 8pm at the Bressi Ranch Village Club, 6276 Arbor Rose Dr, Carlsbad 92009. Parents only please!

CHS is playing in the CIF Semifinal Football Game!
The CIF semifinal football game is this Thursday, Nov. 30th at 7pm at CHS (CHS vs. Escondido).  Presale tickets are available at the Finance Office from 7am-3pm this week.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students (ages 5-18) and $7 for senior citizens (60+ years).  NON high school students MUST be accompanied by an adult to purchase tickets and to enter the game.

Xcalibur Dance Team Fundraisers
The CHS Xcalibur Dance team is holding two fundraisers. The first one is tomorrow, Nov 29th from 4-8PM at Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill at 2604 El Camino Real Carlsbad, CA  92008. That's right, whether you crave to eat-in or take-out at Rubio's Fresh Mexican Grill, just present the flyer linked here to the cashier and Rubio's will donate 20% of your transaction to the Xcalibur Dance Team. Please remember to turn this flyer into the cashier to receive credit!

The dance team's second fundraiser is Fri., Dec. 8th, 2006 from 4-9PM at the Barnes & Noble on 2615 Vista Way in Oceanside. Make sure to bring the flyer listed here so the team receives credit! Join us and have a good time, enjoy a great meal, and thanks for supporting the Xcalibur Dance Team!

Martial Arts Program
The Harding Center in Downtown Carlsbad is offering a Martial Arts program for kids 7 and up with Instructor Sensei Edmond Otis, a 7th degree blackbelt who has practiced Traditional Shotokan Karate for over 35 years.  Programs are available for all levels. The new beginner session starts Sat., January 6, 2007 and Int/Adv sessions start on Wed., January 3rd. Fees are $78.00 for Beg/Int and $92.00 for Advanced.
