Ambling For Art
Ms. Decosmo will be walking the Carlsbad Half
Marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday, January 21st again this year to
benefit the art department at Aviara Oaks Middle School. If
you would like to make a pledge, please contact Ms. Decosmo at AOMS
at 331-6103. Pledges can be for a single amount, or for a
specific amount per mile. Thank you for supporting the
Arts!
Prop P
Watchdogs
The Carlsbad Unified School District is
looking for persons to serve as Prop P watchdogs. Check out an
article written in the North County Times by clicking
here. It's easy to apply, just fill out the application form on the CUSD
website. Applications must be
submitted to the District Office, 6225 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA
92009, by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10,
2007. School district employees, their spouses, and
people who do business with the district are barred by law from
serving on the committee. Even if you decide not to apply, keep in
touch with Prop P progress. Board of Trustee meetings and
Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) meetings are open to the
public, so feel free to email the public email addresses of trustees
and superintendent (see below) and/or just show up.

Ralph's Community
Program
Ralph's will give AOMS a 4% rebate on all
monthly purchases, per enrolled card, up to $500, and 5% over $500.
To register or renew your Ralph's card, click here and
submit the form. AviaraOaksMiddle School designation is
82109. You must renew your Ralph's account as soon as possible
for uninterrupted contributions. If you have any questions, please

programs to help provide the much needed funding for the
various school programs offered. You can help by registering
your grocery cards or donating box tops and printer
