UCI
Academic Talent Search UC Irvine is conducting its annual Academic Talent Search for
academically talented youth in grades 6 through 10. UCI Academic
Talent Search is a two-fold testing program primarily designed to
identify students with extraordinary mathematical and/or verbal
reasoning abilities and assist participants in their placement in
pre-college programs. Additionally, ATS offers students the
opportunity to sharpen their test-taking skills in preparation for
the SAT Reasoning Test and the PSAT, which is the basis for the
National Merit Scholarship awards. Eligible students are those who
have been identified as gifted through a school or district
GATE/Honors program or who have scored at least at the 90th
percentile on a standardized grade-level achievement test. Please
contact Mr. Kalk at the AOMS office to receive a brochure or visit
www.admissions.uci.edu/ats/ to apply.
