HELP! Test Proctors
Needed 5/7-5/16 Parent volunteers are needed to assist
with the STAR (Standardized Testing and Reporting) TEST as Classroom
Test Proctors May 7 through May 16, 2007 from 8:10 am to
approximately 10:30 am. If you are available to help on one or
more of these days, please contact our STAR Test Site Coordinator,

and some of the busiest shopping months are on their way. Make sure

"Yes! Renew". If you are not registered, it only takes a moment. Go

"Hollywood Night" - Thank you!!! The AOMS
Band and Orchestra Boosters would like to extend our many thanks to
all those who contributed to the success of Hollywood Night Concert
& Dinner. Many compliments were received about the entire
evening - the music was terrific! We extend a special thank
you to Band Director Katie Browns' husband, brother, and sisters for
all of the time they donated to the success of the evening which
benefited our children.

CHS Clubs & Organizations Night
4/4 The Carlsbad High School Parent Association is
hosting a Clubs and Organizations Night on
Wednesday, April 4th from 5-8:30pm in the Old
Gym at Carlsbad High School, 3557 Monroe St. All
incoming freshman and their parents are

Karate Summer
Camp North County Martial Arts has 8 weeks of summer
camp. Camp includes two field trips per week, arts & crafts, 2
karate classes per day, and 30 minutes of reading everyday. No other
summer camp offers: Leadership training, Character development,

Coach Cooper's Surf Camps
USA A Typical Day at Surf Camps USA is safe, exciting,
and informative. The camp provides a great beginning for the new
surfer and the needed guidance for the more experienced. For
adults and children we offer private and group lessons, week-long
and weekend camps, birthday parties, and corporate events. All staff
members are first aid and CPR certified. Our staff includes
past and present Coaches of the Carlsbad High School Surf Team, and
professional surfers. All surf instruction includes but not
limited to learning about surfing, ocean awareness (tides, currents,
etc.), ocean safety and environmental awareness. For more

Baby Sitting Classes Back by Popular
Demand!!! American
Red Cross Babysitting Training course will be
offered again by the PTSA just in time for your child to make
some money for the summer. The
course will take place on April 24th and April
25th from 2:15-5:30PM in Room 1601 (Mrs. Riis' room).
You must attend both days to be certified. See the flyer
posted here for a course description and requirements! The
cost is only $65 and includes a babysitter pin and handbook.
Registration form and money can be turned into the front
office. Registration deadline is April 19th. Maximum of 12
people so it is a first come, first served! For questions,
please call June Steffy at 804-0313.
