YMCA Playground Partners
YMCA Playground Partners is back at AOM
this year, and we are asking parents to serve as volunteer coaches during
lunchtime on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 -1:00 p.m. beginning
October 3rd. The
program's goal is to improve the quality of the lunchtime period by
involving students in physical activities which encourage teamwork and
sportsmanship, teach effective communication and conflict resolution
skills and help our students build self-confidence. Our parent volunteer coaches run
games and direct positive, appropriate play. The more volunteers we have
on the playground, the more games we can provide. If you sign up to
volunteer once a week, you can receive a free family membership to the
Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA.
If you are interested in being a part of our program or learning
more information about YMCA Playground Partners, please contact Courtney
O'Mahoney at 760.942.9622 x1428 or comahoney@ymca.org
