I need to check out my student early, what do I do?
The quickest way to have your child ready is to send them in with a note to the front office before school starts. We will then give them a pass to leave class, and they will meet you at the office at the time you need to leave. ID will need to be shown to the office staff before you can leave with the student. If you forget to send in a note, just check into the office and your student will be called up to the office. Please allow for this extra time.
My student forgot something, what do I do?
Bring the item to the office. Items will not be delivered to students in class. We will gladly post your student’s name and item description on the central white board in the commons area, to eliminate classroom interruptions. Students are encouraged to check the white board (or in the office) whenever they realize they have forgotten something.
My student is home sick, what do I do?
Call the attendance hotline at 331-6170 to report the absence. Check School Loop to see what homework was assigned.
Are cell phones and MP3 players allowed on campus?
While cell phones and MP3 players are not prohibited from our campus, their use is not permitted during school hours. If a child is caught using one of these items during the day it will be taken away and a parent will be required to retrieve the item. Aviara Oaks Middle School is not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones or MP3 players. Consequently, the administration strongly encourages students to leave them at home.
I’d like to bring my student lunch – can I do that?
ALL visitors, including parents, MUST check-in with the Front Office. You will be given a name tag that identifies you as a “visitor” and allows our staff to know you should be on campus.
How do I subscribe to the Email Blast?
Click here to go to the email blast page and subscribe directly by filling out the form online, or send a message to moderator@list.aviaraoaksmiddle.com. Be sure to include your name, your child's name, and the year they will graduate.
How do I logon to School Loop?
Go to http://aoms.schoolloop.com to logon to the School Loop website for AOMS. You will need your child's student ID the first time you logon. There you will choose a user name and password. School Loop is fantastic, make sure you check it out. It's the easiest way to keep on top of your child's progress and daily homework assignments.
Where can I find contact info for my child's teacher(s)?
You can click here to find a listing of teachers, their phone extensions, and room numbers. Also teachers are available via email from School Loop (see above on how to logon to School Loop at AOMS.
