The PTSA is a non-profit organization of Parents, Teachers and Students that work to improve our school and community.  Membership is open to anyone interested in the welfare of children and youth without regard to race, color, creed or national origin.  Click here to become a member.

As a PTSA, we are part of the National PTA and California State PTA.  These groups provide support and education to our local members.  These groups also advocate at the State and National level to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.  When you become a member of our local unit, you are also a member of both of these groups.

Each year our Executive Board meets to plan our goals for the year.  The programs and budget for each year must be voted on by our membership at our General Meetings.

This year our main goal is to increase the opportunities for students to participate in healthy activities outside of the classroom.  We will focus primarily on lunchtime games and activities and afterschool clubs.  We will also continue our programs from last year, including Reflections, Parents on Campus, Red Ribbon Week, CPR/First Aid Classes, Babysitting Classes, and Disaster Preparedness.  We also are looking at capital improvements such as a maintenance cart, software licenses to increase classroom computers, and additional shade in the commons area.

Although opportunities to be in the classroom are few in Middle School, there are still ways you can be involved.  National PTA has a list of 100 ways you can help your child succeed.  After you’ve looked over the list, visit our Volunteer page to see how YOU can be a part of your student’s school.
